To setup a carrier account for one of the supported MetaPack carriers, navigate to Configuration | Carriers | Carrier Accounts and select the Add button. Be sure to make the following selections from the drop-down lists:
Server Type: METAPACK
Warehouse: Type in the Warehouse code that you have configured within MetaPack. The default warehouse code is Default.
Once all of the account information has been entered, select Ok.
Once the account has been created, select the Rat. Eng. button on the Carrier Accounts screen with the newly created account selected.
This will open the MetaPack configuration screen with the following fields:
User Name – Please enter in the MetaPack delivery manager user name that was provided to you be MetaPack.
Password – Please enter in the MetaPack delivery manager password that was provided to you be MetaPack.
Test Mode - Select this checkbox to if you wish to point this account to the MetaPack test system.
Select Configuration -> Carrier -> Ship Vias to define the ShipVias for the configured carrier.
MetaPack generates PDF files for labels. Those PDF files can be printed on a thermal label printer as long as the Printer Manufacturer provided driver is installed and that you have Adobe Reader 8 or higher.
The Printer Manufacturer provided driver will work for the MetaPack labels and the other WorldLink labels that are generated.
If you don’t have the Printer Manufacturer provided driver, please visit their website to download the latest driver.
If you don’t have Adobe Reader 8 or higher, please visit http://get.adobe.com/reader/ to download the latest Adobe Reader.
