The Organization Address Verification Set Up dialog window allows for the customization of the WorldLink system to handle Address Verification rules using Satori. During the shipping process depending on the Address Verification configuration, WorldLink will prompt you according to how the Address Verification has been configured.
Verification Parameters
The Address Verification Parameters section allows for the customization on how you want to verify addresses during the shipping process.
Use Address Verification? Checkbox to indicate whether the selected organization will use Address Verification.
Use Residential Delivery Indicator? Checkbox to indicate whether the selected Organization will use Residential Delivery Indicator, which determines whether an address is Residential or Commercial. This validation can only be done for US destinations.
Use Auto Correction? Checkbox to indicate whether addresses should automatically be corrected during the shipping process for the selected Organization.
Ignore Exceptions? Checkbox to indicate whether address exceptions should be ignored during the shipping process for the selected Organization.
Use Delivery Point Validation? Checkbox to indicate whether the selected organization will use Delivery Point Validation, which verifies that addresses are deliverable. This validation can only be done for US destinations.
Use Zip + 4? Checkbox to indicate whether the selected organization would like Satori to append +4 on the Zip code. This validation can only be done for US destinations. Stored Address Verification/Correction results can be viewed using the Address Correction Report selected from Exception Reports on the Reports/Documents Menu.
Satori Address Line Parameters
Use Satori Address Line Parameters? Checkbox to indicate whether to use address repositioning functionality. Default is unchecked.
Primary Address: this read-write property determines the location on the label of the primary address. This property is set before calling the ‘Check Address’ function. The available property values are 0 and 1.
If the property value is 0 (default) = places the primary address in address line 1. If the address line 2 is blank, the primary address as address line 2 with secondary address data in address line 1.
If the property value is 1, then, return address line 2 is chosen.
Unit Output: this read-write property determines the location of the unit information. This property is set before calling the ‘Check Address’ function. The available property values are 0,1 or 2.
A property value of 0 (default) indicates the return at the end of primary address line.
A property value of 1 indicates the return on secondary address line, if secondary address is blank.
A property value of 2 indicates it will always return on secondary address line, which implies that secondary address data will be overwritten.
Address Verification Operations:
Save Original address in the AddressCorrection table? Checkbox to indicate whether to store the Original Address in WL for reporting purposes.
Datafiles Parameters:
US Datafiles? Checkbox to indicate whether to do address verification for destinations in the United States.
UK Datafiles? Checkbox to indicate whether to do address verification for destinations in the United Kingdom.
Canada Datafiles? Checkbox to indicate whether to do address verification for destinations in the Canada.
Available functions are:
