Administrator Tip: To activate logging for your manifest transactions, select F6.When working with Manifests, to avoid potential problems, do not use a Future Open manifest dated for the current day as your Active Open manifest. Close the Future manifest and Activate it so that it is now an Active Open manifest.
If 'Auto Manifesting' option has been enabled for the Organization in 'setting up organizations', then certain manifest functions will occur depending on the actions taken in the 'Process Shipment screen' and the current state of active and future manifests.
If the manifest for a carrier has been closed and posted or no manifests exist, then processing a shipment with that carrier will result in a new manifest being created for the day of the shipment.
If an active manifest is closed but not posted, then processing a shipment will result in the manifest being resumed.
If a future manifest is closed and dated for the current day and no active manifest exists, then processing a shipment will result in the activation of the future manifest.
If a future manifest is open and dated for the current day and no active manifest exists, then processing a shipment will result in an error being returned.
