Create a New Carrier Account.

Select Configuration | Carrier | Carrier Accounts from the WorldLink menu.  Select Add and enter the carrier information.  For an OnTrac carrier, select the following values:

• Type: Select OnTrac from the drop-down menu.

• Account #: Enter your specific OnTrac account number.

• Server Type: Select OnTrac from the drop-down menu.

When you have completed the carrier settings, select OK to generate the new account.

Configure the Rating Engine

Select the Rat. Eng. button on the Carrier Accounts page to open a web dialog. OnTrac supports Test and Production environments.

Select the environment

1. • If Test Mode is checked, WorldLink will assign the User Password for the OnTrac test environment.
   • If Test Mode is unchecked, the Production environment is active and you must enter your specific OnTrac password.

Select the Printer Type

OnTrac supports laser and thermal printers.

1. • When Label is selected, thermal printers Zebra and Eltron are supported for printing your label.
   • When Laser is selected, GIF, JPG, PDF and PNG formats are supported for printing your label.

Assign ShipVias to the New Account

Select the ShipVias button on the Carrier Accounts page and Add the preferred ShipVias for the new account. You may select Services, Freight Payment terms, Bill As and Special Services options for each ShipVia assigned.

General Information

• Code: Select a unique code for the ShipVia.
• Description: Be as specific as possible about unique differences or references.
• Org/Site Group: Select the group that meets your requirement for this ShipVia.

Carrier Information

• Carrier: Select OnTrac. This will auto-populate the available services.
• Service: OnTrac offers four different Services.

• Freight Payment: Select Shipper, Recipient or 3rd Party.
• Bill As: Select a pre-defined category from the drop-down menu.

Special Services

Four Special Services are available for each OnTrac service. Special Service may have Qualifiers and/or Values. When the user selects a Qualifier or Value that is not supported, an error message is displayed.

Note to Administrators: After adding a new carrier, remember to go to Configuration > Users > User Groups: CMS WorldLink - Carriers to add the appropriate access rights.

Customizations

Script Events

WorldLink offers 'before' and 'after' server script events for manipulation of the OnTrac Request and response documents.

• WL OnTrac Request - when enabled, this event allows the user to manipulate the OnTrac request data before it is submitted to the rating engine and before it is saved to the database as pDocument.

• WL OnTrac Response - when enabled, this event allows the user to manipulate the OnTrac response data after it is received from the rating engine but before it is saved to the database as pResults.

OnTrac Tracking

Via its website, OnTrac offers package tracking services to its customers and the service is fully supported by CMS WorldTrack. Access to the service will require a pre-authorized password.
