The Pack button on the Process Shipment screen will be available when shipping a SWOS group or host order with packing enabled. See Packing Configuration for more information.
A window will open with 3 sections. The first section contains packages. When the screen first opens, there will be no packages listed. Select the Create Package button to create packages. To delete a package, click on the corresponding Sel button and select the Delete Package button.
Sel: Selected package, any details assigned to the selected package will be displayed in the Package Details section
Package id: Package identifier, sequential number assigned by WorldLink
# Line Items: # of lines that have been assigned to the package
Create package: Button to create a new package
The middle section is the package details section. It shows what has been packed in the package selected in the package section. When the window first opens, this section will be empty as well.
Sel: Selected package details. When Delete Item(s) button is selected, action will only be taken on the selected package details.
Item number: Item identifier
Description: Description of item
Qty packed: number of items packed in selected package
Qty to Delete: enter quantity to be deleted in this field
Delete Item(s): Select this button to decrease the quantity of the selected item(s) by the Quantity to Delete
The last section contains the Consolidated Order Details. It will list all package details that have been added to any of the shipments in the SWOS group.
Sel: Selected order details. When Add Item(s) button is selected, action will only be taken on the selected order details.
Item number: Item identifier
Description: Description of item
Total Quantity: total quantity of the item on the order
Available Quantity: total quantity of the item for the order that has not yet been assigned to a package
Quantity: enter quantity to be added in this field
All in One Box: If there is only one package defined, select this button to assign all of the order’s details to this package (button is disabled if there is more than one package defined)
Add Item(s): Select this button to add the quantity of the selected item(s) to the selected package
Steps to assign items to packages
1. Create package(s) by selecting the Create Package button.
2. Select the item(s) to be added by checking the Sel box in the Consolidated Order Details for all items to be added.
3. Enter the quantity to add to the package in the quantity field.
4. Select the Add Item(s) button.
Steps to remove items from packages
1. Select the package from the packages list that you would like to remove items from.
2. Select the item(s) to be removed by checking the Sel box in the Package Details list.
3. Enter the quantity to delete from the package in the Quantity to Delete field.
4. Select the Delete Item(s) button.
