Return Address Configurator

Available in: Enterprise edition.

 

Return Address Configurator is a module in CMS WorldLink that allows you to apply a return address to any customer code that is different from the default address normally associated with that customer. The return address info can be specified by multiple parameters (org/site group, carrier, service, etc.), similar to the Freight Configurator.   Please contact CMS Sales to obtain this module.

 

To setup the Return Address Configurator, select Configuration | Advanced Config. | Return Address Configurator.  Enter any search criteria in the popup window and select OK.  The results will appear in the Return Address Config. window.  Select the Add  button to create new Return Info record.  Here, you can define a new return address, give it a code and specify which customers should use this address as the return address.  To specify the customers assigned to this return address, you can manually enter the customers in the Customer Codes field, or select the Add Customers button to query and select the customers to add.

 

In addition to specifying which customers use a return address, additional criteria can be specified in the Return Info Criteria section of the screen.  If the Use for All Customers checkbox is checked, then the return address will be used for all customers for shipments meeting the specified return info criteria.

 

If no customers are associated with a return info record and the Use for All Customers checkbox is not selected, then this is an inactive return info.  A record can also be disabled by selecting the Disable checkbox.  This allows the customer assignments to be preserved, while the record is disabled.

 

Selecting the Add Customers button will display the Customer Search screen.  Once the search criteria are entered, the resulting customer list will be displayed.  Select the Sel checkbox of the customer(s) you want to add to the return info record, using the buttons as needed:

 

Select All: Select all records displayed in the list

Deselect All: Deselect all records displayed in the list

Prev: Show the previous 100 records

Next: Show the next 100 records

Add: Add the selected customers to the return address

Cancel: Close the window without adding any customers and return to the return address record

 

Selecting the Clone button from the Return Info screen will create a copy of the selected record and open the return info screen with the data of the selected record.  You will need to change the data before saving the new record.

 

You can see the Return Info associated with a particular customer from the customer configuration screen.  Select a customer record and select the Return Info  button.
