The Systems Parameters form contains system wide settings, including rating engine and host system information. Go to Configuration | System Parameters from the menu.
It is recommended that you logout and login again after making changes to System Parameters.
Enable Future Shipping: when selected, allows the user to process and manifest shipments for a future shipping date.
Enable Deliver By: when selected, allows the user to 'rate shop' for delivery by a specified date.
Require password for force post: when selected, requires the user to enter a password in order to force the posting of a manifest.
Allow expected count to be exceeded: when selected, allows the user to add multiple packages to a single shipment, all referencing that same Shipment ID for the same manifest date.
Allow Multiselect on force post: when selected, allows user to select multiple manifests during the force post operation.
Prevent concurrent logins: when selected, prevents any user form logging in concurrently at two different stations.
Enable Https: when selected, supports SSL communications throughout WorldLink.
Allow duplicate package Ids: allows the user to ship multiple packages on the same manifest using a duplicate Package ID.
Allow duplicate package ids: when selected, allows the user to re-use package ids for the same manifest date.
Turn off user date update while shipping: when selected, the system will not track when a user logs in and out. This option should be selected for high volume or API users.
User based station configuration: when selected, the station configuration settings will be based on user name rather than station name. This option should be selected for virtual desktop solution users.
Manifests: allows the user to define a logging path for the location of saved manifests.
DB Character Set: indicates the database character set. If the character set is not UTF, the Generate UTF (Unicode Transformation Format) Script button will be active to create the UTF conversion scripts for SQL databases. The scripts will be created server side in the "Scripts" folder.
Advanced Framework: an entry here allows the user to apply a custom module/page/label etc. that will be integrated into the shipping process.
Authentication Button:
User Auth: allows the user to select is authentication method for access to the WorldLink application. Authorization methods are:
WorldLink database
Active Directory Server
Active Directory Single Sign-On
Password Expiration (# of days): when selected, forces the users to change/update passwords at this scheduled interval.
Default/Reset Password: allows the user to specify the default/reset password for all users. (Only applicable when User Auth is set to WorldLink Database)
Force Change Password: allows the user to specify if users must change password upon a password reset. Options are:

System Text: allows the user to add a plain text reference (e.g. Production instance, QA instance, database reference, etc.) to the browser tab and the information banner at the bottom of the WorldLink home screen.
Time-out Button: Allows the user to define the available system time outs. the wait time for an internal system request. When the associated action exceeds the specified time-out, the action is stopped and a message is displayed indicating that the time-out has been reached. Current available time outs are:
ConnectShip TimeOut (ms): Default timeout value is 300000. This timeout applies to all interactions with Connectship.
FSMS Manifest Process Timeout (sec): - Default timeout value is 360. This timeout applies to the following processes
Retrieving closing status from FedEx Server
Retrieving IPD, IGD labels
Retrieving reports
FSMS to WLManifests Copy Timeout (sec): - Default timeout value is 360. This timeout applies to how long the system shall wait to retrieve the manifest files from the server source folder path and move to the defined destination carrier code folder.
Satori TimeOut (ms): - Default timeout value is 1500. This timeout applies to all interactions with Satori.
Color Button: allows the user to select banner and pop-up colors for his DesktopLink environment. Select Reset for default colors.
WorldLink Frame Color: allows the user to select frame colors for his DesktopLink environment. Select Reset for default colors.
DesktopLink Color: allows the user to select banner and pop-up colors for his DesktopLink environment. Select Reset for default colors.
DesktopLink Frame Color: allows the user to select frame colors for his DesktopLink environment. Select Reset for default colors.
History Button: allows the user to manage the number of records displayed in his Station Shipping History.
FSMS Server: this is a rating service exclusive to FedEx. Click on the Configure Servers button and specify server name(s) or the IP address(es) with port number (default is 2000).
Use FSMS for Tracking: checking this option allows the user to track a FedEx package using the FedEx tracking service.
ConnectShip Server: specify the name or the IP address of the engine.
Enable Https: when selected, communication with ConnectShip will be done via https protocol.
Version: indicates to the user which version of ConnectShip FSMS server is in use.
Fetch: allows the user to auto-detect the version of ConnectShip Server in use.
Forms font size: allows the user to define the font requirements for his ConnectShip-related forms and documents.
Document Description: defines the default document to be used for forms, declarations etc.
Document Allowed: when selected, allows the default document to be applied.
Connection String: displays the encrypted connection string in use for contacting the WorldLink rating engine. The connection string specifies data source to connect the client server to the specific database server and establish a database connection.
Test Button - allows the user to test connectivity to the specified database
Modify - allows the user to see the decrypted connection string and make revisions.
Login Type: indicates different connection strings under ‘No Load’ and ‘Load’ Balance conditions. There are two types, 0 and 1. When the selection is changed, the associated connection string will also change.
Connection: indicates the connection string which is associated to the login type and changes based on the login type selection.
Config: allows the user to change the connection string.
View Trace: used to view the auto-generated SAP files.
Reset Connection: resets the connection to the default string.
Test Connection: tests the connection string entered.
Port: indicates the configured server port number where Satori is installed.
Auto Purge: when selected, will automatically purge old SWOS groups based on the number of days configured.
