End of Day Rate Consolidation

Introduction

WorldLink’s End of Day (EOD) Rate Consolidation facility provides the means to re-rate all of the packages shipped for the day for a particular carrier.  Using this feature, users can take advantage of the possibility of reduced rates because shipments are rated taking into account the total weight shipped for the day, instead of the weight of the individual packages independently.  This feature is currently only available with the ConnectShip and FedEx Rating Engines.

Configuring EOD Consolidation - Carrier Account

The Re-Rate option needs to be enabled by carrier. By default, this option is not turned on and needs to be configured by the user.  To configure the EOD Rate Consolidation option, go to Configuration | Carrier | Carrier Accounts Screen.  On selecting the particular carrier, the user can select/unselect the Synchronize Consolidated EOD Rates option as shown in the screen below:
