Carrier Setup
Create an account by selecting Configuration -> Carrier -> Carrier Accounts from the menu. Select the Add button and enter the carrier information. For details on creating a carrier account, see Carrier Accounts.
Select the newly created TNT account and select the Rat. Eng. button. Enter data in the following fields:
Min/Max Tracking# – Range to use for tracking numbers.
Current Tracking# – Most recent tracking number used.
Tracking Number Warning - Select this checkbox to receive a warning at time of posting if the number of tracking numbers remaining is less than the threshold.
Threshold - Indicates threshold at which tracking number warning should be displayed when tracking number warning is turned on.
Origin Depot/City – Enter the Origin Depot Code and City.
Collection Number
ConnectString - Enter the ConnectString for the TNT database, in encrypted form.
Rated Carrier Account? – Select if the carrier account is rated and should include rates when used for shipping.
Late Pickup Flag - Select this option to route road shipments via air in case there is a late pick-up.
Dimensions required - Select this option to require that dimensions be specified on TNT shipments.
Vol Factor - Enter the volumetric factor for Express, Economy and International.
DG Surcharge - Enter the surcharge for dangerous goods shipments.
Fuel Surcharge (%) - Enter the fuel surcharge as a percentage. Only enter if fuel surcharge is not included in the rates. There are separate fuel surcharge fields for Domestic and International.
Future Fuel Sur. (%) - Enter the fuel surcharge to be used in the future as a percentage. Only enter if fuel surcharge is not included in the rates. There are separate fuel surcharge fields for Domestic and International.
Future Fuel Applicable Date - Enter the date that the Future Fuel Surcharge becomes active.
EDI Setup - Enter the connection information for the EDI file transfer, including ftp server, folder path, user name and password.
The TNT Netherlands module requires the installation of TNT's Unilab program. In addition, please follow the steps below (failure to do so may result in "The Shipping Transaction was unable to be completed successfully" errors):
1. Click Start - Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
2. On the "Advanced" tab, under "Startup and Recovery", click "Settings"
3. In the "Startup and Recovery" dialog box, click "Edit"
4. Change the /noexecute option to the following: /noexecute=alwaysoff
5. On the *File* menu, click *Save*, and then click *Exit*
6. Click *OK* two times.
7. Restart your computer.
