Available in: Enterprise and Lite editions.
Selecting [Configuration | Users | Users] from the menu will bring up the users search criteria window, allowing you to enter search criteria. Enter your criteria or leave the Search For field blank to return all users. The users window will open showing a summary of the User information.
Available functions are:
Add - Click on this button to add a new user. The user will be presented with a User Dialog window.
Edit - Click on this button to edit an existing user. The user will be presented with a User Dialog window.
Delete - Click on this button to delete an existing user. The user will be asked to confirm the removal of the user. NOTE: If a user is deleted, then all of their private customer addresses will also be deleted. You will be notified at the time of deletion that this action will occur and you can choose to cancel the deletion at that time.
Reset Pwd - Click on this button to reset a user password. This will set the users password to "password".
Next(100) - Click on this button to display the next 100 user records. This button is only active if there are more than 100 users in the list.
Prev (100) - Click on this button to display the previous 100 user records. This button is only active if there are more than 100 users in the list.
Note: For WorldLink Lite, you will only be able to add enabled users if you have user licenses remaining. Please select [Help | System Modules] to view details about your user licenses.
User Dialog
The User dialog window is presented whenever a user adds or modifies a user. Information about a user is maintained through this dialog window.
General Information
Login - The text the user will type in as a user name when logging into WorldLink.
User Name - The name of the user.
Email Address - The email address of the user.
User Group - Select the User Group the user belongs to from the drop-down list. This list is populated with data defined in the User Groups screen.
Default Org - Select the Organization the user ships for from the drop-down list. This list is populated with data defined in the Organizations screen.
Default Dept - Select the Department the user ships for from the drop-down list. This list is populated with data defined in the Departments screen.
User Title - Enter user title.
Phone no - Enter the user's telephone number.
Office Location - Enter the user's office location.
Prompt user to change password (based on 'System Parameters') settings - Select this option to force the user to reset their passwords based on the Password Expiration (# of days) setting in System Parameters.
Disable - Select this option to disable a user. Disabled users will not be able to log in to WorldLink.
Note: If the user is associated with a View/Rate Only User Group, a message will be displayed on the user dialog indicating this.
Note: For WorldLink Lite, when changing an existing user from disabled to enabled, a check will be made that the appropriate license is available. If all of your user licenses have been allocated, you will be unable to enable a user until an active user is disabled or additional user licenses are purchased. Please select [Help | System Modules] to view your licensing information.
Available functions are:
OK - Click on this button to accept the changes made.
Cancel - Click on this button to cancel out of the User dialog window and discard any changes made.
