The Manifest Explorer handles posting of all shipment manifests both for the current shipping day and for the future. Click here to view the rules for manifest posting.
What you do:
Select a carrier from the drop down list to display a list of all current and future manifests for that carrier in the table below. For those carriers that receive transmitted manifests, the status of those manifests is included in the table.
Select the manifest that you want to post.
Note: This will cause certain buttons to gray out (become inactive) and other buttons to darken (become active). The status and type of the manifest chosen dictates the state of the buttons.
Press the Post (F10) button which will perform functions necessary for the final processing of a manifest. This posting function will include uploading the manifest to the carrier and printing the manifest out to a printer or a file. For some carriers (UPS) this function can only be done on a workstation that has a thermal printer connected.
It is possible to Force a Manifest to be closed by selecting the Force Post button. This action may require a password (this is configured in the System Parameters). Contact CMS to obtain the password to force a post.
Once the manifest is posted, you can:
Go to the Archived Manifests where you find manifests that have been posted. Designed similar to the Manifest Explorer, the Archived Manifests screen allows a reprinting of the manifests and the possibility to view the shipments contained within.
